One of the things I love about being a mobile notary, apart from meeting new people every day, is that I help that person get to the next stage of their life. A new driver buys their first car and needs the bill of sale transaction notarized. A borrower signing on a loan for a new house. Acting as an authorized representative for a Work at Home company for their new employees. The excitement they feel to start their new journey is literally tangible!
You’re not always there for the good news though. I recently had to notarize a separation agreement for a young couple, a beautiful couple with the most adorable son. They were amenable and familiar with each other, yet here they were on the road to getting a divorce. Being a happily married woman of nearly twenty years, I wanted to grab them and shake them and tell them “don’t do it! Whatever the problem, you can work it out!” but of course, I didn’t. I couldn’t. I’m not there to pass judgment or give advice on their personal lives. I’m there to notarize their document. With a sad heart, however, I did what I was there to do.
So, let’s talk about why you one day may need a mobile notary. In one word, convenience! Your bank will do it for you for free, but you have to travel to them and you have to get there between 8.00am and 4.30pm (opening times vary), maybe wait ten minutes for an associate to assist you. Your local UPS may provide that service, but they are always busy. Have you noticed that?
As the name suggests, the mobile notary comes to you, at a time mutually convenient to you both, at a location mutually convenient to you both. For Power of Attorney documents, the person needing the notarizations may be bedridden, in a hospital or nursing home, yes, we’ll do the notary there. Or your transaction may involve multiple people and its more convenient to meet at your home or the local Starbucks at 7pm once everyone has finished work, yes, we’ll go there. Or you just don’t feel like leaving the house, yes we’ll go there too! There are so many scenarios where a mobile notary can help you get to the next stage of your life – and that’s why we’re here.
